Product Owner Data & Analytics

what you’ll do.

  Own and drive the vision, roadmap, and backlog of data and analytics solutions (e.g. dashboards, reports, datasets, and data platforms)

  Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine business and reporting requirements, translating them into clear user stories and functional specifications

  Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and architects

  Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring delivery of high-value features aligned with business objectives

  Work closely with engineering teams on data pipelines, data models, and reporting solutions, ensuring alignment with requirements

  Ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and trusted data and analytics solutions, including testing, validation and user acceptance

  Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews, ensuring smooth delivery

  Coordinate dependencies, risks, and issues across teams and stakeholders

  Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, and presentations to align on requirements, progress, and outcomes

  Guide and mentor fellow team members in their efforts to develop product owner skillsets

what you’ll bring.

  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or relevant field. A computer science-based mindset is needed; a technology-based education is helpful

  5+ years of experience in Product Owner or similar roles within data and analytics environments

  Proven experience working in agile environments, including backlog management and scrum-based delivery

  Strong experience in requirements gathering and translating business needs into user stories and functional specifications

  Solid understanding of data and analytics concepts, combined with experience in data platforms (e.g. Snowflake), data pipelines, data modeling, analytics workflows, and hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)

  Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and domains

  Ability to identify risks and proactively drive resolution

  Experience in consulting or complex, multi-stakeholder environments is a strong plus

  A proactive, structured, and value-driven mindset

 

Non-negotiable: strong communication skills in Dutch and English
